Student Support

Kindori

Integrated programme in Kindergarten-cum-Child Care Centre (IP)

Our school adheres to the concept of integrated education and joins the “Integrated Programme” to provide intensive training and group activities for children aged 2-6 with developmental differences. Through the Programme, children receive services including free speech therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and clinical psychological counselling services to help them integrate into mainstream education and society in the future.

On-site Pre-school Rehabilitation Services

Kindori

Our school has participated in ‘On-site Pre-school Rehabilitation Services’ since 2016. The inter-disciplinary service teams (comprising occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, clinical/educational psychologists, social workers and special child care workers) operated by the Spastics Association of Hong Kong (SAHK) provide a spectrum of on-site rehabilitation training and support services for our students under the age of six who have been assessed to have mild disabilities.

Support services for Non-Chinese Speaking students

Kindori

Non-Chinese speaking (NCS) children’s early start in learning the Chinese language will facilitate their adaptation to mainstream curriculum and integration into the local community. Parents of NCS children are encouraged to send their children to kindergartens with an immersed Chinese language environment as early as possible to facilitate their learning of the Chinese language. In this connection, our school has rolled out a series of support measures for NCS children, such as recruiting additional teaching staff and teaching assistants to support non-Chinese speaking students in learning Chinese, after-school Chinese learning groups, homework and learning assessment adjustments, and provide English-language documents to parents.
